More about Jim:

James S. Vena started out with his love for real estate at an early age when his parents purchased land and built their own home. Watching and being involved in the construction process and subsequent projects was fascinating. Jim continued on learning and helping his Dad do the same for his parents (Jim’s grandparents) as they relocated from downstate to be closer to the family.  As Jim grew up he got into commercial construction while going through College learning and helping with the development of what’s now known as “Big Box Stores.” In 1999, Niskayuna Fire District No. 1 hired Jim as a Career Firefighter/Paramedic. In 2006 he was promoted to Lieutenant and then Captain in 2012. Jim continues to work in this position today.  In 2016, Jim began Investing in Real Estate and has completed and sold numerous successful renovation projects. In 2019 Jim officially got his Real Estate License and is affiliated with the amazing Brokerage, eXp Realty. Why, because Jim does not like the pushy, salesy, commission driven attitudes and actions you may find elsewhere and eXp allows Jim to run his Real Estate Business his way. Jim takes great pride in sharing knowledge and helping guide homebuyers and sellers to make quality decisions that are right for them and their situation in what is likely the largest purchase they will ever make. Above all though, Jim’s greatest accomplishment is his son Shawn, who proudly serves in the U.S. Navy on board the Supercarrier, USS Nimitz.
